We offer our caregivers compensation, ongoing training and quality supervision to attract and retain these very special people. Our caregivers are highly trained according to state regulations, pass criminal background checks and reference screening, take a two-week class when hired as well as 10 hours of continuing education each year, and are fully insured and bonded. Those who provide medication also obtain a Nursing Registration Certificate.

Clients and caregivers also receive support from our supervisors who provide another point of contact for the client and their families with telephone check-ins, onsite evaluations and ongoing monitoring of the caregiver and home visits to assure the client’s needs – as well as the caregiver’s -- are being met. Our clients’ family members can feel confident in knowing their loved one’s needs are well taken care of.

Day in and day out, our caregivers treat every client with respect and take great pride in what they do. Our client satisfaction surveys reflect those positive qualities. We know not every match is made in heaven. There are personal and cultural differences, individual needs, preferences and interests. We take great care in how we match our clients to our caregivers and our matchmaking track record is excellent. We are culturally sensitive and can even provide ethnically tailored meals. At KWA, clients feel confident that they are a good and compatible match with the best caregiver possible. KWA Home Care supervisors carefully select the caregiver with the experience and personality that is best suited to the needs of each client. Next, we arrange for the caregiver to come to the home so the client can interview the caregiver and determine if he or she is an appropriate match for their needs.
