Stay Safe in June: National Safety Month

June 8, 2019

Observed annually in June, National Safety Month focuses on reducing leading causes of injury and death at work, on the road and in our homes and communities. According to Injury Facts, 161,374 people died from unintentional injury-related deaths in 2016. Safety is a major concern of most families and their family members especially when older adults live on their own in their own homes.  Our KWA HomeCare staff is trained and certified to provide a safety net for our clients.  But family and friends can be just as prepared for emergencies to help seniors stay safe when hazards arise.   For more tips and information to help seniors stay safe, download this helpful newsletter: Emergency Preparedness for National Safety Month
