This is a nasal swab test. You do need to have symptoms to qualify for testing

While you do not need to register ahead of time, we strongly encourage you to fill out the registration form ahead of time and email it to Suzanne Pak by November 27, 2020.

KWA’s Community & Behavioral Health department will provide a free care package of COVID-19 safety and personal hygiene/ cleaning items to each person that gets this free COVID-19 test on this day.

KWA serves the states most vulnerable populations and therefore determined the benefits of hosting a freee testing site for the general public as well as KWA staff. All are welcome to come and be tested on this date.

Please note that if you have COVID-19 symptoms or have in contact with someone with COVID-19, you should not wait until December 1 to get tested.

Dispatch Health, the medical provider conducting the tests, typically receives test results within 48 hours.

  • They will contact people with positive results as quick as possible and normally within 24 hours of receiving test results.
  • People with negative results are normally contacted within 5 to 7 days of receiving test results.
  • Results can take longer if there is a backlog at the testing laboratory or with contact tracing staff notifying people of their results. They contact people with positive results sooner than those with negative results.

The test is free; no ID necessary; phone numbers are only used to communicate the results; minors can get tested if they are with a parent or guardian; the test is a nasal swab. You do not need to be a Pierce County resident to receive a test at this event.
