Senior Resource Fair at Tacoma Mealsite: A Community Success
On August 15th, KWA proudly hosted a Senior Resource Fair at Tacoma Mealsite in collaboration with Lutheran Community Services. The event brought together nine vendors along with the Health Department, offering seniors free vision, blood pressure, and diabetes screenings, as well as other essential health services.
A highlight of the day was a raffle sponsored by the Puget Sound Asthma Coalition, which provided 25 participants with high-quality air purifiers. In addition, partner agencies shared valuable resources, ensuring that seniors were left with tools and information to support their well-being.
The fair also allowed us to showcase our programs and connect with the community in meaningful ways. A special thank-you goes to our dedicated social service staff, whose hard work and commitment made this event such a great success.
