Cancer Screening Navigation

KWA provides navigation to help women 40+ years old get screened, diagnosed, and treated for breast cancer – through funding from Komen Puget Sound.  KWA also helps men and women 50+ years old get screened for colorectal cancer – through funding from MultiCare Community Partnership Fund.  If your household income is less than 250% of federal poverty level and you have high deductible health insurance, we can help you apply for financial assistance – provided by Washington State Department of Health’s Breast, Cervical, and Colon Health Program (BCCHP).

Pathways Care Coordination

Pregnancy can be both an exciting and stressful time, and you don’t have to do it alone.  KWA provides care coordination for pregnant women or those with chronic disease in Pierce County with Medicaid / Apple Health – through funding from Elevate Health (formerly Pierce County Accountable Community of Health).  We provide comprehensive assistance with medical appointments, transportation, housing, employment, education, childcare subsidy, food benefits, and other resources.

Everyday Prevention

KWA provides Everyday Prevention programs for seniors in Snohomish County through funding from Verdant Health Commission.  From yoga to mindfulness breathing to healthy cooking classes, we provide fun and interactive education for seniors that empower them to take control of their own health.  We also provide Chronic Disease Self-Management and prevention of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease, Alzheimer’s, cancer, and falls, in partnership with other organizations.
