Independent Living at Home
There When You Need Us
KWA caregivers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays to providing complete non-medical home care services. Care is provided for as little as two to 24 hours a day. KWA also supports family caregivers with respite care services, allowing family members time to rest, recharge and attend to their own pressing needs.
Companionship and transportation services from your KWA caregiver help you or your loved one stay connected, engaged and looking forward to each new day. Companionship and Transportation services include accompaniment to events, non-emergency medical and dental appointments, shopping for meals and household items and running errands. What would you enjoy? How about getting out to see a movie or a restaurant? Can we help you write letter to someone dear? How about a game of cards or just some pleasant conversation? KWA Home Care is there to assure health, safety, medical and emotional needs are met on a daily basis. Our caregivers are also licensed and insured drivers. Pick-up and drop-off services are also provided.
Post-Surgery or Hospitalization Support
Our dedicated and respectful professionals provide a range of customized services to assist during the critical first weeks after surgery, when rest is most important and privacy is most valued. We work with the patient, family members and physicians, offering highly personalized care and support. KWA caregivers are there to address physical needs, change dressings, help manage medications and ensure doctor’s orders are being followed. We also support the recovering patient’s emotional needs, help with transportation and homemaking. Our services enable recovering individuals to rest, limit activities that might slow recovery and protect privacy and dignity while allowing time to heal.
Care for Veterans

KWA Home Care contracts with the Puget Sound Veterans Administration to provide skilled home care services to our veterans who are in need of assistance. Assistance with activities of daily living including: shopping, cleaning, meal preparation, bathing, dressing and other essential activities.
Programs and Payments
KWA Home Care provides services to clients under several state and federally funded programs. Such as, Community First Choice (CFC + COPES), Medicaid Personal Care (MPC), Respite Care, and Developmental Disabilities Programs. We also provide competitive rates for VA, Hospice and Private Pay services.
Free Care Assessment
Call the Home Care office nearest you for a free client care assessment. The results from the assessment will help us evaluate the client’s specific home care needs and preferences. Next, we develop a care plan to meet those needs and put the client’s and his or her loved one’s minds at ease. Once the care plan is completed, care can begin immediately.

Serving adults with chronic illnesses or conditions, and people of all ages with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, or substance use disorders. Home and Community Services provides and administers long-term care services to eligible individuals and collaborates with Area Agencies on Ag-ing to share community service options.
The types of services and programs available is different in each community. Who to talk with depends on where the person lives who needs the care, how old he/she is, and whether or not state funding (Medicaid) is needed to help pay for care.
